In this paper, first we investigate the basic properties of the 
-index and its coindex of graph. Next we obtain the exact expression of -indices and its coindices for bridge graph, chain graph and transformation of graph. Using some of these results, we have obtained the value of these indices for some important classes of chemical graphs.
